The 2024 Watermark Search International Board Diversity Index, produced in partnership with the Governance Institute of Australia, provides a comprehensive look at diversity on ASX300 boards as of January 1, 2024.
Now in its tenth year, this report uniquely examines five core diversity areas—gender, cultural background, skills and experience, age, and tenure/independence—as well as additional dimensions like First Nations, LGBTQ+, disability, and socioeconomic background.
By delivering this extensive analysis, Watermark and the Governance Institute aim to promote more diverse boards across Australian organizations, supported by initiatives like the Governance Institute’s Effective Director Course, which includes programs specifically for women.
